Richmond-SF Ferry Service Moves Forward

The city of Richmond is moving to take hundreds of cars off overpacked I-80 during rush hour. Congestion relief is coming in the form of two rapid ferries that will have regular runs during weekday commutes between Richmond and San Francisco. MTC and its Bay Area Toll Authority, along with the Contra Costa Transportation Authority and the Water Emergency Transportation Authority, are overseeing the project, which voters made possible.
