BART Transbay Shutdown

For the first time in history, BART will shutdown service through the Transbay Tube the first weekend in August (this weekend) and Labor Day weekend to rebuild rail access to the tunnel. When completed, the work will allow more flexibility to re-route trains if there is a problem in the Tube. But the work also means traffic this weekend, and labor day weekend, will be a mess. BART is providing a frequent, extra ordinary Bus Bridge to the 100,000 people a day who use BART... but you can expect major delays on the Bay Bridge.
