Labor Day Weekend 2015 Closure Update

BART will shut down transbay train service between the East Bay and San Francisco's Embarcadero Station during the three-day Labor Day weekend, September 5-7, in order to perform critical maintenance work near the Transbay Tube. The transbay BART shutdown will be in effect from the end of BART service on Friday, and all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday (which is Labor Day).

The West Oakland BART Station will also be closed during the maintenance work, and two East Bay lines will be reconfigured to allow direct access between Pittsburg/Bay Point and Dublin/Pleasanton.

MTC's 511 traveler info service is advising Bay Area residents to plan ahead, use alternate forms of transportation and avoid unnecessary transbay trips. Check alert.511.org for updates on the BART bus bridge, ferry service and other travel alternatives. Also check bart.gov for details about the work and service updates.
