Daylight Saving Time Brings Changes to Bay Bridge Bike/Ped Path Hours

Bay Bridge Bike/Ped Path
Tuesday, March 14, 2017

Adapted from a Caltrans release.

Caltrans has announced longer hours for the bicycle/pedestrian path on the East Span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.

Starting Sunday, March 12, 2017, the hours will be from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. on weekends and holidays. The longer hours are the result of daylight savings time.

The path will continue to remain open on weekends and holidays only, until further notice. The ongoing demolition of the old East Span, along with construction activity on Yerba Buena Island, require Caltrans to keep the path closed during working hours.
