MTC regularly prepares and updates a comprehensive transportation map as part of our development of the Bay Area’s Regional Transportation Plan.
Because our current regional transportation plan — Plan Bay Area — includes long-term strategies for both transportation investment and land uses, so too does our latest map.
Updated in 2014, the Plan Bay Area Transportation and Land Uses map highlights not just cities, highways, and major streets and roads, but rail lines, ferry routes and terminals, airports and seaports and the Bay Trail as well.
The colorful and highly detailed map also identifies parks and open spaces, urbanized portions of the Bay Area, and identifies both adopted and potential Priority Development Areas and Priority Conservation Areas.
